Parameter constraints for plasma turbulent reactors.
Abstract
Plasma turbulent reactors are described together with their power-law emission spectra, and a technique is proposed for determining whether an astrophysical object may be a Compton or synchotron plasma turbulent reactor on the basis of given values for its relativistic-electron density, size, and magnetic-field strength. Equations are obtained for the energies and relativistic-electron densities of both types of reactors, and it is shown that an object may be one or the other type of reactor if its parameters satisfy the inequalities expressed in these equations.
