Limits on Charmed-Meson Production in e+e- Annihilation at 4.8-GeV Center-of-Mass Energy
Abstract
Data from e+e- annihilation into hadrons at 4.8 GeV center-of-mass energy were used to search for charmed mesons in the mass range 1.5 to 4.0 GeV/c2. We looked for narrow peaks in the invariant-mass distributions for K-/+π+/-, Ks0π+π-, π+π-, K+K-, K-/+π+/-π+/-, Ks0π+/-, Ks0K+/-, and π+π-π+/-. We present upper limits for the inclusive production cross section times the branching ratio for charmed mesons having these decay modes.
