Theoretical spectra and polarization in neutral-weak-boson production
Abstract
We discuss the details of the theoretical predictions for the reaction l+/-+N-->Z0+l+/-+N', in which the neutral weak vector boson is radiated by the lepton during electromagnetic recoil off of some nucleus. Energy and angular spectra for the boson, prompt lepton, recoiling proton, and decay leptons are considered. This agenda includes beam polarization effects and a study of the Z0 polarization. Reference to previous charged-boson theoretical results simplifies our presentation considerably. Ancillary calculations for a scalar Z0 possibility are described as well.
