An invariant solution to the turbulent boundary layer equations
Abstract
In the calculation of turbulent boundary layers by the method of integral relations, there arises the problem of selecting a family of velocity profiles with one or more independent parameters for determining the integral thicknesses. A method of determining a family of velocity profiles for a turbulent boundary layer is proposed. The method makes use of a semiempirical turbulence theory, along with universal constants conventionally used.
