Optimization and the threshold characteristics of CO2 lasers
Abstract
It is shown analytically that the specific characteristics of CO2 lasers are essentially defined by two parameters: the specific electric discharge density referred to the square of the gas pressure and the product of the pumping time and gas pressure. Laser efficiency and the shape of the emission pulse are studied within a wide range of these parameters.
