Laser optics - Solving laser application problems
Abstract
Various problems which had to be solved in designing laser systems for specific applications are discussed, taking into account the reduction of scatter, the sealing of laser resonators directly to plasma tubes, the exploitation of the polarizing properties of thin film devices, transparent electrodes, and multilayer mirrors with more than one reflection band. The applications considered include modulators, parametric amplifiers, laser gyroscopes, and optical ranging systems.
