Approximate methods for calculating the noise-stability and distortion in data transmission systems
Abstract
Methods, which allow significant simplicity of calculation and sufficient accuracy, are used to calculate noise-stability and distortion in communication systems. The noise is estimated at receiver outputs in the presence of any type of modulation, as are the threshold values of the SNR at the receiver inputs. Some of the methods include the probabilistic weighting method, the method of zero deviation, the method based on the generalized Shannon equation and the multi-ray method for determining distortion.
