Microwave shielding
Abstract
Following a brief review of the basic principles of low-frequency shielding, the application of these principles to the microwave range is considered. The basic question is whether shielding is limited by material performance or by seam leakage. In order to avoid material-limited performance, true conductivity should be measured or a sufficiently low value estimated; for the seam-leakage case, care in construction should be emphasized in reference to both fixed and access seams.
