Determination of the Absolute Magnitude and Phase Coefficient of Minor Planet 887 Alinda
Abstract
Using available photometric data, primarily from the 1973-1974 apparition, it has been determined that the absolute magnitude [B(1,0)] of (887) Alinda is 14.98, i.e. approximately 1.3 magnitudes brighter than previously thought. In addition the phase coefficient [0.047] is approximately twice that of a typical asteroid.
