Turbulent flows under the action of volume forces and nonself-similarity
Abstract
The work sets forth theory of turbulent jet flows under the action of several types of forces that strongly influence the nature of the flow: volume forces such as caused by a heavy disperse impurity or an electromagnetic force, twisting of the flow, pressure gradient, compressibility, or significant nonself-similarity. Models and methods are worked permitting use of a semiempirical theory, and some experimental results are included. A simplified integral method for calculating jet flows is proposed.
