Turbulent flows under the action of volume forces and nonselfsimilarity
Abstract
The work sets forth theory of turbulent jet flows under the action of several types of forces that strongly influence the nature of the flow: volume forces such as caused by a heavy disperse impurity or an electromagnetic force, twisting of the flow, pressure gradient, compressibility, or significant nonselfsimilarity. Models and methods are worked permitting use of a semiempirical theory, and some experimental results are included. A simplified integral method for calculating jet flows is proposed.
