Fundamental of the theory and design of automatic measuring systems
Abstract
The theoretical aspects of error assessment and synthesis of automatic measuring systems and their elements are discussed, along with methods of improving system accuracy. The topics covered include: the structure of automatic measuring systems; conversion of information; approaches to the description of measuring systems, based on error theory and information theory; upgrading the accuracy of digital systems by measuring standard signals and automatically correlating systematic errors; the error of quantizing for minimum distortion (for two approaches); error analysis and structural methods of improving accuracy for multichannel measuring systems; dynamic errors of single- and multichannel analog-digital systems, and synthesis of such systems; and methods of designing functional analog-digital converters.
