Second-order digital multiplexing device
Abstract
Digital multiplexing is the ordered association of component digital sequences to form a resultant digital sequence containing extensive service information (on locking mechanism, signaling, etc.). A second-order multiplexer is a device which multiplexes signals that have already been multiplexed once. The present article describes a recently fabricated second-order digital multiplexer; numerous advantages were gained in its construction through the application of large-scale integration (LSI) techniques.
