A Numerical Method for the TimeDependent Krook Kinetic Equation
Abstract
Timedependent problems in kinetic theory described by the Krook and other model kinetic equations can be formulated as systems of nonlinear Volteira integral equations. The derivation of these equations is described and a numerical procedure for solving them is presented. The nonlinear piston problem for the Krook equation is used to illustrate the discussion.
