Inverse heat conduction problems
Abstract
The characteristics of a class of inverse heat conduction problems are examined, and a general mathematical formulation of an inverse problem is proposed. Methods of selecting a stable approximation are discussed, and a regularization principle for selecting an approximation is developed. Inverse problems of several types for which uniqueness theorems and regularization algorithms exist are analyzed.
