Chi-square target models of low degrees of freedom
Abstract
Sixteen Meyer plots, representing a set of new probability-of-detection data are presented for chi-square radar target models with less than two degrees of freedom. The plots are intended for targets that are described by probability density functions of high mean-to-median ratio. It is demonstrated that by cross plotting between data points obtained from appropriate Meyer plots, it is possible to predict probability of detection given any degree of signal return correlation and a wide range of target characteristics.
