Ultrafast streak camera for optical pulse measurements
Abstract
The requirements and techniques for time resolved subnanosecond diagnostics of laser pulses are reviewed. The advantages and limitations of applying image converter streak cameras to the problem of optical pulse diagnostics are discussed. The design and operation of a unique 10-ps resolution streak camera, and examples of its application to optical pulse measurement are presented. Also included are comments on the development of streak cameras with extended capabilities.
