Nova Cygni 1975

Andrillat, Haute Provence Observatory, report: "Spectrograms obtained during Oct. 2-24 (range 3400-11 300 A) show the following forbidden lines: [O I] 6300 A, 6363 A at about the same intensity; [O II] 7319-7331 A; [O III] 4363, 4959 and 5007 A; [N II] 5755, 6548 and 6584 A (blended with H-alpha); [Ne III] 3869 and 3967 A; [Ne V] 3426 A. The other principal emissions are: H-alpha to H-epsilon; P_6 to P_14; O I (particularly intense) 7772, 8222, 8446, 11 297-11 302 A; He I 5875, 6678, 7065 and 10 830 A; He II 4686 A; C II 7236 A; C III 4650 A. All the lines have very similar, complex structures." R. S. Stobie, Royal Observatory, Edinburgh, communicates the following photoelectric magnitudes. Comparison stars are HR 8074, 8079, 8089 and 8335.
