Tracking station positioning from artificial satellite observations
Abstract
The paper first reviews the various methods of tracking station positioning from artificial Earth satellite observations, namely the general and partial dynamic solutions, the methods of short arc, point positioning, translocation, and the purely geometric constructions. The description of recent results from both global and local networks is followed by a comparison of the various solutions and examples of geodetic and geodynamic applications.
