Optical recording of compression and rarefaction waves in liquid hydrogen
Abstract
A shadow photography technique is proposed for recording shock processes in liquid hydrogen. The application of the technique to the measurement of shock-wave, refraction-wave, and rarefaction-wave velocities in hydrogen is demonstrated.
