Determination of the Lagrangian of a tetrad gravitational field
Abstract
A unequivocal definition of the gravitational Lagrangian in the tetrad theory of gravitation is obtained on the basis of the postulate of correspondence with the Newtonian theory of gravitation and the Lorentzcovariant theory of nongravitational matter, and also by establishing the simplest form of the field equations in linear approximation. The expression for the Lagrangian contains two characteristic constants  the Einstein gravitational constant and a specific dimensionless 'teleparallel' constant.
