Interferometric measurement of optical surface forms with the aid of synthetic holograms
Abstract
The employment of synthetic holograms for optical studies has become a routine operation. This approach can be used, in principle, for the examination of all types of aspherical surfaces and even for nonaxisymmetrical aspherical bodies. The principles of operation for the considered method are discussed and attention is given to the structure and the representation of synthetic holograms, interferometric configurations, questions of hologram recording, and problems of reconstruction.
