Efficient microwave p/+/n-p/+/ BARITT diodes
Abstract
BARITT diodes which yield useful RF power outputs and efficiencies are considered. Output power and efficiency as a function of current for a typical BARITT diode are shown in a graph. The operating frequency is 8 GHz. A maximum output power of 85 mW at a direct voltage of 72 V and a current of 55 mA, corresponding to an input power of 4 W, can be attained.
