Interpretation of X-hot-wire signals
Abstract
The interpretation problems in X-hot-wire anemometry, caused by the deviation of the yaw dependence from a cosine law and by disalignment of the X-hot-wire probe and the mean flow direction, are discussed. Several signal analysis methods are investigated. It is shown that the equations corresponding to a simple sum and difference method are very complex, but in practical flow cases the equations are simple to use and give accurate results.
