Some results concerning the flow of an incompressible viscous fluid around a wedge
Abstract
Incompressible flow around a wedge is studied with the aid of a truncated series technique. The method is applied to Navier-Stokes equations written in an optimal coordinate system. An expression is given describing the skin friction that is encountered in this situation. Standing eddies at the wedge vertex are demonstrated for vertex angles greater than 25pi/12.
