Correspondence between a variable-reluctance machine and a machine with flat poles as determined by a conformal transformation - Application to the calculation of inductances
Abstract
The direct axis inductance and the quadrature axis inductance of a salient pole machine are calculated using the magnetic coenergy stored in the air gap of an equivalent cylindrical rotor machine. After this air gap is defined by three parameters, an analytical form of the conformal transformation is established in the case of a one- or half-tooth-per-pole machine.
