Numerical studies of steady, viscous, incompressible flow between two rotating spheres
Abstract
A new numerical method, developed for the study of secondary flow in a curved tube, is adapted and extended to the study of viscous, incompressible, steady flow between two rotating spheres. The Navier-Stokes equations are approximated by a triple sequence of linear problems, each of which has a diagonally dominant coefficient matrix. Computer examples are described and discussed.
