Neutron star models with realistic highdensity equations of state.
Abstract
We calculate neutron star models using four realistic highdensity models of the equation of state. We conclude that the maximum mass of a neutron star is unlikely to exceed 2 M0. All of the realistic models are consistent with current estimates of the moment of inertia of the Crab pulsar. Subject headings: dense matter  equation of state  neutron stars  pulsars
