A general slab band absorptance for infrared radiating gases
Abstract
Equations are presented for evaluating dimensionless slab band absorptance as a function of optical path length in infrared-radiating gases. Previous analytical expressions were only applicable to high-pressure or large-pathlength situations, where rotational line structures can be ignored. The present work derives more general relations, based on the work of Edwards et al (1964, 1967) and Tien-Lowder (1966).
