Measuring instrument for the determination of the output wavelength of lasers
Abstract
It is pointed out that changes in the output wavelength of 1 A, which can easily occur during the operation of ruby lasers, can produce a corresponding displacement of the Raman line in studies using the lidar Raman method. A control of the laser output wavelength is, therefore, necessary. The operation of the instrument described is based on energy determinations conducted with the aid of two energy-monitoring devices and a transmission element with a known wavelength dependence.
