Analysis of the dynamics of a satellite employing a gyroaerodynamic attitude stabilization system
Abstract
Nonlinear equations of motion of the Space Arrow satellite are derived which take into account the influence of the gravitational and aerodynamic moments. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of the equilibrium position along a circular orbit are obtained. The calculation of transient processes for specific values of the system parameters is demonstrated by examples. Forced vibrations of the satellite, caused by the entrainment of the atmosphere by the rotating earth are calculated.
