Ultrahigh frequency radiometry
Abstract
Certain theoretical aspects of the energy reception efficiency, error susceptibility, internal electronics, design differences, airborne performance, and applications of wide-band ultrahigh frequency radiometers are discussed. Emphasis is on the properties and configurations of the antennas. The Johnson noise effect, the Dicke receiver, and conical scanning are explained in detail.
