Secular and long-period disturbances in satellite motion
Abstract
The formulas derived for secular and long-period disturbances of satellite orbital elements hold for any number of zonal harmonics of the earth's potential. The dependence of the secular and long-period disturbances on the principal orbital parameters (the semimajor axis, the orbital inclination and eccentricity) and on the order of the harmonics is analyzed.
