Numerical simulation of the Tokamak plasma with a movable boundary
Abstract
A numerical simulation of the Tokamak plasma is described using a magnetohydrodynamic fluid model. The code has the following applications: interpretation of the experiment of a Tokamak plasma with a dynamic limiter, and comparison of the experimental with the theoretical results obtained from various transport theories. For the former application the position of the boundary in the code is movable. For the latter, the main part of the code can be written automatically in a formula manipulation language (IBM-FORMAC). Examples of the numerical calculation are also given.
