Pulse quaternary modulation
Abstract
A new M-ary modulation format for a direction detection, M-ary communication link is described and its error rate performance is analyzed. Experimental results are presented which show that the system presently operates within 2.7 dB of an ideal photoelectron counter for a 1 Gbps data rate.
