Explicit continuous representation of path corrections
Abstract
Simple explicit methods are proposed to continuously generate accurate intercept guidance commands for correcting missile paths. The perturbing effects of gravitational oblateness and atmospheric drag are compensated readily by novel target offset and modified Q techniques, using standard p-iteration and Encke algorithms. The methods entail either direct continual evaluation or point expansion of required velocity.
