Forced convective heat transfer near the trailing edge of flat plate
Abstract
Theoretical analysis and numerical calculation of heat transfer near the trailing edge of a finite flat plate with force convective flow around the plate. An analytical solution is obtained using the Oseen approximation and the Wiener-Hopf technique. In the numerical solution, the energy equation is parabolic in the major part of the field, but elliptic near the leading and trailing edges. To find a numerical solution through these two regions, a new relaxation method is introduced in which the relaxation parameter is a function of the local position.
