An approximate integral transform method applied to heat transfer problems
Abstract
The method proposed generalizes the 'method of non resolving transform' by S. Kaplan and G. Sonnemann (1961). We choose for a multiregion system a very simple set of weighting functions satisfying some boundary and interface conditions. The fulfillment of all boundary and interface conditions by the weighting functions would give the exact solution by the finite integral transform method. The proposed approximate method is like a Weighted Residual one.
