The calculation of the vibrations of continuous structures in the case of random independent excitation
Abstract
Attention is given to a number of relations which are required for the calculation of the vibrations of continuous structures on the basis of the theory of correlation. The characteristics of stochastic parameters and processes are discussed along with the basic relations of correlation theory, stochastic variance functions and spectral densities, and relations between initial and final characteristics in the case of vibrations involving linear continuous structures. An investigation is conducted regarding the stochastic vibrations of suspended roofs.
