Some conditions for ensuring programmed motion
Abstract
Means of realizing programmed motion of an axisymmetric body under the action of a system of forces are analyzed, assuming that the points at which the forces are applied are located in planes normal to the symmetry axis of the body and that the distance between the points and the symmetry axis is small and equal for all points. Each of the applied forces may change its direction a specific plane, except one which is directed always along a parallel to the symmetry axis. Cases of rectilinear and curvilinear programmed motion are examined.
