Optimization of the simultaneous operation of two automatic control systems
Abstract
The flow of a liquid into a tank is terminated by a command from one of two independent automatic control systems. The error of each system in determining the prescribed amount of liquid is governed by a normal distribution law with a certain rms deviation. The problem of determining the optimal condition of simultaneous operation of the systems, for which the mean value of the amount of liquid (with allowance for the air cushion) is maximum is examined. The optimal condition is obtained in the form of a quadrature equation.
