Numerical-analytical method of determination of certain harmonics of terrestrial potential
Abstract
A review of models of existing potential is necessary to guarantee sufficient accuracy to the orbitography of tracking satellites. Some terms only should be readjusted, including the terms of resonance for the satellites considered. The method proposed, based on a theory of perturbations of the first order, has been tested on simulations of the Geole tracking system. The perturbation of principal resonance, along the track, whose amplitude was superior to 100 m, has been brought to a level below 10 m. The method will be utilized on the real data of the satellite Eole, which has a resonance of the order of 13, and of a central period of 9.22 days.
