Mechanism for plasma loss from a magnetic trap
Abstract
The interaction of plasma particles (ions and blocked electrons) along magnetic lines of force with an electric field of low-frequency (drift) instability is analyzed. A mechanism which in the presence of low-frequency oscillations may define the rate of escape of a plasma from a magnetic trap is proposed.
