Diffraction of electromagnetic waves by a dielectric wedge
Abstract
A rigorous solution to the problem of the diffraction of an arbitrarily incident electromagnetic wave by a rectangular dielectric wedge is obtained with the aid of a Maxwell equation in integral form. The solution has the form of a superposition of plane (diffracted) waves and an edge wave (from the edge of the wedge). The edge wave has the form of an integral of the Sommerfeld type.
