Strong Langmuir turbulence, turbulent plasma heating by electron beams, and laser compression of matter
Abstract
The laws of turbulent heating of a plasma by electron beams and by light are predicted on the basis of the soliton model of Langmuir turbulence. Conditions are established for the realizability of ultrastrong compression of matter.
