Periodic and conditionally-periodic trajectories in conservative systems under minimal smoothness conditions. I.
Abstract
The area-preserving mapping of an annulus is discussed, and its application in astronomical problems is examined. Since some astronomical problems cannot be described by analytical (or generally smooth) functions, an attempt is made to derive the basic theorems for a wide range of conditions. An existence theorem is proved for a special class of 'regular' periodic cycles.
