Signal processing with surface acoustic waves
Abstract
Surface-acoustic-wave signal processing technology is concerned with the processing of the mechanical analog of an electric signal. This mechanical analog takes the form of a mechanical wave on the surface of a small crystal. The structure of the metallic input and output electrodes is a vital element in this new technology. The practical implementation of the operational principles is discussed. Applications of surface-acoustic-wave signal processing are in communications technology, radar systems, military applications, radar systems, and data technology.
