Optical data processing of a hologram obtained with coded aperture imaging
Abstract
Spatial filtering techniques are used to enhance images reconstructed from coded aperture holograms. Emphasis is placed on removing background due to defocussed components (i.e., those corresponding to longitudinally displaced object planes) in the image. Preliminary experimental results are presented. Criteria for using an image reconstruction system as an optical data processing system are discussed.
