Interkosmos
Abstract
A series of papers dealing with the theory, instruments, and techniques of satellite rangefinding using laser methods. The topics covered include: the first INTERKOSMOS laser satellite rangefinder, digital measurement of time intervals, the time base of a laser satellite rangefinder, optical corner reflectors for laser rangefinding, and laser rangefinding to the moon. Theoretical papers discuss the fundamentals of satellite geodesy, the orbits of artificial satellites, computing the ephemerides of artificial earth satellites, and predicting the time periods which are favorable for photographing passive artificial earth satellites. Individual items are announced in this issue.
