Frequency characteristics of a series pattern-shaping circuit
Abstract
Synthesis of a series radiation-pattern shaping circuit that ensures a desired phase-amplitude distribution at the outputs feeding to radiating elements in an antenna array. The synthesized series-feeding circuit is intended for a wideband antenna array requiring minimum frequency dependence of each beam orientation in space. Numerical results are given for calculated structural parameters of the circuit, and its performance is evaluated throughout a 20% bandwidth range.
