The use of the Kwait-Mullen series method in the linear theory of beam devices of magnetron type
Abstract
Formulation of the basic relations of the linear theory of beam devices of magnetron type on the basis of a generalization of the Kwait-Mullen power series method which does not involve an adiabatic approximation. The ranges of applicability of this method in the theory of magnetron-type TWTs are considered, and expressions are obtained for the gain coefficient of such TWTs in the weak magnetic field and 'classical' modes.
